Rainy days and kitty prints

It's a downpour here, and I'm leaving my poor newspaper at the end of the driveway for now. I'm in day two of post-potter depression - luckily no dreams putting me in the book. When that happens, I usually wake up feeling a bit worn out. Like I really got my butt kicked.

But I've finally listed prints for a new painting I did last week. I need more canvases - I have about 10,000 more to go - at least from all the ideas that are in my head now. You know, the ideas that are crowding out the basics, like getting the newspaper before it floats away.

Next weekend there's a balloon show a few miles away. Depending on the wind, my house might be under the travel path. There's a competition with the balloons, called the "hare and Hound" race where one balloon ascends before the others (in this case a big Energizer bunny!) and then the rest of the balloons ascend and try to match the air currents the bunny is traveling on. I believe the bunny balloon drops a target, and then the rest of the balloons try to drop something on the target (perhaps an unworthly or rude passenger)

Anyway, I warned my roomies because balloons don't make any noise until they turn on the flames, which can scare the fiberfil out of you. There is a good chance that out of 5 ascensions this weekend, the wind might be heading over our house with over a hundred hot air balloons.

But how cool would it be if I got a big giant crafty alien critter balloon to float over NJ? Yeah, it'd be cool but I don't have $20,000 to get one made.

here's my latest print now available in my etsy shop:

Say hello to the twins! : )
